HopWalk®
On Tour

STARTING AT CHARLES FARAM, MALVERN

The 2024 harvest event brought together over 360 brewers from the UK and around the world. Featuring a brand-new format for our flagship event – the six-days of tours replaced the traditional two-day brewing event. This way we were able to offer a more intimate and hop focused experience.

We’ve received fantastic feedback and would like to thank everyone who attended in 2024. If you’d like to read the full event round-up, check it out here!

The Tours

An intimate and hop passion infused road trip tour of Faram’s and two of our ‘Charles Faram Farms’ farms. Each with their own unique developments from hops to machinery to showcase.

Faram Festive Finale

After all that exploring and a posh nosh Hoppy Meal picnic, we bring everyone back to The Faram’s Arms pop-up pub for hop showcase beers.

It’s a chance to sample, exchange information, mingle with the Faram’s team, celebrate the  harvest, and share our love for what we do and who we are.

And because no good story starts with a salad, enjoy a BBQ on the bump  before jumping on the complimentary shuttle bus back to the most convenient station, Malvern Link

About the 2024 Farms

Hawkins Farming

At the two farm sites you will see the brand new picking machine with the latest technology, development hops, Harlequin®, Olicana® and Progress, and receive a optional historic tour. Including the old kilns and picker’s barracks.

The Hawkins family have been at The Farm, in Bosbury since the mid 1940’s but the earlier generations were based at farms in both Herefordshire and Kent.

They’re very keen on experimenting with new varieties and new and sustainable ways of producing the crop.

Hops Grown:

Pridewood Hops

Regular HopWalk® goers will be familiar with this picturesque farm, but there have been plenty of new developments. You will see the newest of the new hop varieties as well as baby Godiva™, a very different picking machine, and a walk around a modern kiln.

Pridewood Hops is run by the Powell-Tuck family. Martin is the main man and is helped by Julie.

Martin’s father, Geoffrey, farmed hops at the Nupend, Munsleu, before they were eventually grubbed out. They then purchased the Whitehouse where the farm sits today. Julie was brought up at Lower House, Canon Frome, where her father John Morris farmed the hops.. and they still rent one of those yards.
